The Haitian Children’s Fund is the child sponsorship program of The Friends of Fort Liberté. It is designed as a scholarship program to keep kids in school.  At this time, nearly 500 children are sponsored by caring families across the United States and Canada.

A Haitian child can be sponsored for only $30 per month. One hundred percent of this money goes directly to the child’s family; no sponsorship money is allocated for administrative fees or overhead.The monthly $30 enables the child to attend school where he will receive lunch daily and provides a school uniform and supplies.  It is also  supplements the family income, helping them to purchase food, clothing, and shelter.

The children are sponsored in order of need, as identified by the leadership of the Jerusalem Baptist Church.  Some are so desperate that they will die without immediate help.
