Welcome to the information site for The Friends of Fort Liberte (FFL), a non-profit organization based in West Virginia, U.S.A.  FFL works to aid poverty-stricken Haitians through community programs of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Fort Liberte, Haiti, West Indies.

The residents of Fort Liberte are among the poorest people in the Western Hemisphere.  The environment is harsh; there is little rain and few crops.  Public services are non-existent.  Few homes have electricity or running water.  The people of Ft. Liberte are strong spiritually and are hard workers.  They want jobs but opportunities for employment are rare.

Yet, there is hope in Fort Liberte.

This hope grows from trust in God and from opportunities generated by the outreach programs supported by the Friends of Fort Liberte.
